Perfectly Placed Ltd Executive Summary
We aim to raise £250,000 through HMRC's SEIS scheme (subject to approval) in exchange for a 25% equity stake in Perfectly Placed Ltd.
Our core business focuses on talent development in the film, TV and computer games sectors, which share overlapping skill sets related to storytelling and content production. Perfectly Placed will offer a crucial entry point and further opportunities to 13 - 25 year olds in these rapidly growing British screen industries.
Our business model revolves around hosting monthly one-day educational events known as "Meet the Film Business," which feature up to seven hands-on workshops in different screen-related disciplines. These events are aimed at informing and inspiring secondary school aged children about the breadth of careers in the screen sector and equipping them with the skills and contacts to get their foot in the door.
Leveraging our extensive networks and knowledge of the screen industries, we can provide access to A-list workshop tutors (Oscar and BAFTA winners) as well as invaluable work placements and traineeships in upcoming film, TV, and gaming productions across the UK. Additionally, our industry expertise allows us to create product placement opportunities and identify prospective brand ambassadors among emerging acting talent on the verge of achieving significant success.
There are approximately 8.3 million secondary school children in the UK in the 13-18 age group. We will target a market comprising State, Independent and Drama schools that have a responsibility to provide opportunities for their students’ career prospects but often lack the resources and contacts to do so.
During the development of this business plan it became evident that University-level media courses face a similar problem. They lack the networks and relationships to catapult their students into their first industry jobs. We will seek to fill this gap by selling remote placement officer services to a number of UK Universities and professional training institutes, making life-changing internships and traineeships in the screen sector accessible to a record number of graduating students and expanding the business into the higher education market

We already have extensive leads in the secondary school and University sectors and will be looking to expand our network of participating institutions through a pro-active marketing strategy: contacting schools and universities directly, reaching them through third party marketeers and accessing our target age group through ads and influencer engagement on social media.
The timing for our business is favourable due to the £24 billion annual content production budgets from the streaming giants fuelling a rapid growth in UK-based productions. The combined spend by film and high-end television production (HETV) during 2022 reached £6.27 billion, the highest ever reported and £1.83 billion higher than for the pre-pandemic year 2019. The computer games sector is now four times larger in terms of revenue generation, with an annual revenue of approximately £286 billion worldwide. In addition, from 1 January 2024 the UK's film, high-end TV, and video games tax credit will be eligible for a credit rate of 34%, up from the current 25% brining even more productions to the UK. This makes 2024 an ideal time to launch Perfectly Placed Ltd to bring new talent into an exponentially growing marketplace and fill the substantial gap in training schemes left by scarce National Lottery funded initiatives and government spending cuts.
Our management team, as described in this document, possesses extensive expertise in the market and has successful careers in the areas in which we will operate. Our CEO, Neeraj Kachhwaha BEng, has a proven track record and has grown businesses worth multi-million pounds, with a deep commitment to the film business.
Our Head of Workshops, Education, and Placements, Vika Evdokimenko, is a Cambridge graduate and also studied at New York’s NYU Grad Film School under Spike Lee. She is currently a University Film School Lecturer at Royal Holloway and a film director/producer.
We project to break even by month 3 and project 3 years of collective EBITDA at £3,567,000.
Collectively, we are the ideal team to lead Perfectly Placed Ltd to success. We trust that you will find this document informative with its comprehensive "go-to-market" sales plan and financial model as you consider becoming investors in our venture.
